In the madness that has been our family moving and transitioning, one fun facet of the whole process has been plotting our the renovation and decor of our home. As with everything, I’m thinking practical, sustainable, while keeping a classic and modern aesthetic. And did I mention affordable?
But as most design fans know, sometimes the sleekest pieces aren’t always the most cost-efficient. But man, are they gorgeous.
On my never-ending hunt for beautiful children’s furniture that would fit our casual, but modern taste, I’m currently in love with Artek’s Children furniture. A mama can dream.
Founder Alvar Aalto designed several pieces to be used by children, including The N65 Chair and Table 91.
The N65 Chair is a children’s chair, which is a great size for a bedroom or playroom. The N65 Chair comes in various colors and materials; with birch frame, seats are available in primary colors as well as natural birch. This high end piece goes for $370.
The Table 91 features adjustable heights, adding to its sustainability with the ability to grow with the child. Table 91 boasts a classic design, yet provides a great space that would be suitable for crafts or a tea party. At $1735, this table isn’t cheap, but it’s certainly gorgeous enough to be a piece of art.
