Meet the Freaky Pets

If you think all plush toys are all cute and cuddly, then you’re partially right.  Combine cute and cranky, then you’ve got this new line of plush pets called Freaky Pets.

At first glance these imaginary creatures are sweet and innocent, then with a quick tuck, the Freaky Pets reveal their cranky alter ego.

Like many plush pets geared to older kids, Freaky Pets also offer an online component.  Freaky Pets reside at www.FreakyPets.com where the colorful creatures come to life in a 3D game and virtual world.

We had the chance to check out Penga, who just happens to be a dancing machine and is said to be able to make up new dance moves on the fly.  As dancing fans, I loved finding out that Penga is the dancer in the Freaky Pets crew.  Even when Penga reveals his cranky, much scarier side, apparently, they’re still dancing the whole way.

Freaky Pets offer a much different approach to plush toys, with their 2-in-1 capabilities, not to mention their edgier, cranky alter egos.  The scarier sides might not be appropriate for the younger, more sensitive kids; however, I bet these quirky plush toys would make monster lovers smile.  With 3D games, tricks, pet mail, and ability to shop for accessories and much more, Freaky Pets’ virtual 3D World is one to check out.

Together with Penga, there are 10 Freaky Pet creatures to choose from. Freaky Pets retail for $14.95 and are sold exclusively at Hallmark stores.

To celebrate the launch of these new creatures, Hallmark Gold Crown Stores are having Free Freaky Fridays on the first Friday of the month, where they are giving away free Freaky Pets to the first five kids who come to each store with passwords.  The passwords are provided on FreakyPets.com.  Today marks a Free Freaky Friday!  Be sure to grab those passwords and run to your local Hallmark stores.  (Keep in mind, it’s the first five kids.)  The next Free Freaky Friday will be December 3rd.
