Wisk: Then and Now

Ring around the collar! *gasp*

Remember that catchphrase that the Wisk commercials made popular way back when?  Good times.

Times, how they’ve changed.  Thankfully, we haven’t had too many travesties involving ring around the collar (thank goodness for our dry cleaner.)  Stains, however,  yeah, we have our fair share of those.  While renovating this house, we’ve painted, sanded, shoveled, cleaned and polyurethaned endlessly.  And expectedly, we’ve got the stains to show for it.

On that note, Wisk is at it again.  The laundry detergent that’s been around since the 50s has recently unveiled its latest formula: Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology.  I’ve been invited to experiment with Wisk’s new formula and share my findings in a series of posts, which comes at the perfect time…right as our new washing machine and dryer arrived at our doorstep.  Stay tuned as I experiment with stains and see what all this Stain Spectrum Technology is all about.

In light of our family’s recent transition from city to suburbs, we’re getting reacquainted to having a washing machine IN our home, as opposed to schlepping to a laundromat every few weeks.  Washing laundry while taking care of whatever in the other room—multi-tasking!—is glorious.  I’ve mentioned before, I receive a lot of product samples, including a plethora of laundry detergent.  The husband often brings home product samples of  laundry detergent, on top of the variety of brands I’m sent to review.  And yes, this Wisk campaign will be included on that list.

On a related note, this site has an emphasis, but not exclusivity, on sustainable and eco-friendly brands and products for children.  Not that I need to explain myself or anything, but the kid’s laundry, sheets and the like are washed separately with detergent that’s free of questionable chemicals that might be harmful to him—always.  When we’re unsure of ingredients and harsh chemicals get involved, bad things happens.   That said, I’m not opposed to experimenting with something that’ll help tackle the mess that the adults in this house make.

I am being compensated for my participation in this campaign, but as always, all opinions on NKT are my own.
